What Will You Buy?

Some of the most important time you will spend in the home buying process is to think about what you are hoping to find in a new home. Here are some questions to get that started:

  • Where do you want to live? A certain town? A particular school district? Near _____?
  • Will you buy a detached home? A townhouse? A condo?
  • A brand new home? A new-ish house? An older house?
  • Move-In Ready? Fixer Upper?
  • How many square feet? How many bedrooms? How many bathrooms?
  • Is a garage important? A basement? A deck / patio / porch?
  • Must have _______? Want to have _______?

You can think about these questions, or we can meet to discuss them together. I’ll know more about what you like and don’t like as we start to view houses together, but a preliminary conversation about your goals and desires will be helpful for both of us.
